I am following the tutorial.

I am on the circus and got to the point where I needed to switch off symmetry to create the entrance, columns and bleachers.

For the entrance and columns once symmetry was off the appeared on just the one side.

After I had done this part I finished my session and closed my PC (Win 7 SP1).

I restarted my PC and opened the model again and continued with the bleachers. But now each thing I add is duplicated on the other side as it was before when symmetry was on.

I checked the Room Data and this shows that Symmetry is NOT ticked.

Each time I create a vertice on the correct side I deleted it on the other wrong side. I then created the face which didn't appear on the wrong side as there were no vertices.

Then I duplicated and displaced the face to create the set of bleachers and these again appeared on the opposite side.

I'm assuming there is some setting that I've missed or inadvertently activated. I did read about mirroring but that seems to be something completely different.

The only thing I have done differently from the tutorial was to create the model in metres not feet (I did this by simply dividing all feet lengths by 3 - so 150 ft becomes 50 metres).

Help please

Hi Nigel

Right-click, options, mirror

Uncheck the items that you don't want to be mirrored
