| With the publishing of the 4th Ed. of IEC60268 Sound system equipment –
Part 16: Objective rating of speech intelligibility by speech transmission index there are several impriovements in the way STI is calculated as well how it should be reported in software environments.
When can we expect EASE to be updated?
Thanks

| I thought I should mention some of the changes for those who don't have a copy yet.
RASTI is now specifically withdrawn/has become obsolete as a method for prediciting, calculating and measuring speech intelligibility.
Level masking is now afforded equations which describe a several gradients instead of the stepped functions for determining the level to be used in the masking functions.
There is now a section regarding how prediction software calculates and reports the predicted STI.
Qualification bands are introduced which augment the older Poor, Fair, Good, Excellent scale. |

| These are all good improvements on STI. I too would welcome knowing which parts of the STI calculation is implemented in EASE and which not. And when we can expect EASE to catch up.
