| Hi all,
I use EASE 5 for room models and AURA calculations, and lately my PC is struggling. Big DWG imports make it freeze, rotating the view in Room Mapping is slow, and AURA runs take forever on larger rooms.
I read the older thread about the best processor for EASE and AURA, and it helped a bit. But I’m on a budget, so I’m looking at refurbished machines instead of new ones. From what I’ve read, the best refurbished workstations can handle this kind of work if the specs are right.
What I’m trying to figure out is whether AURA cares more about core count or single-core speed, and whether 32 GB of RAM is enough for big models or if I should go for 64 GB. I’d also like to know if the graphics card matters much for the 3D views. If anyone here runs EASE on a refurbished workstation, I’d love to hear how it’s going and what to check before buying.
Thanks for any tips! |
