| Hey Folks,
First post here. Does anyone have any recommendation for simulating an auralization of an anechoic recording through something like a transparent speaker, so that the quality of the speaker plays no role in the resulting auralization? For example, I have an anechoic recording of a piano...is there a way to create an auralization so that the simulated sound represents the piano is being played live in the Ease-modeled room, rather than through a specific loudspeaker system?

| Hi Erik,
what You're looking for is a speaker-file with the directivity-pattern of a piano.
There is nothing like that shipped with EASE.
Years ago there where (public domain?) measured directivity patterns for several
instruments on the PTB-website. But not in a format, that can be used in EASE.
Perhaps someone downloaded the files, transfered them in the EASE-format and is
willing to share them.
I would be interested too.

| Thanks for the replies! Regarding the "sphere" loudspeaker, I was wondering if that might be the closest thing to a transparent sound source. If anyone has any recommendations for using the sphere, I'd be glad to hear how to properly use it... |
