EASE v's Adobe

Dear All!
I've been having an ongoing battle between EASE and Adobe for some time. If I'm working in EASE and open a PDF document in another window with the latest 'Adobe Reader X' I end up with an error in EASE which forces me to close the applications and reload EASE before it will work again as normal.

The error message states "EASE Main Module has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" followed by the usual... tell Microsoft about this problem etc...

I'm running EASE v4.3.9.75 and Adobe Reader X is causing the problem. Adobe Acrobat 6.0 doesn't seem to create these errors.
OS is WinXP-Pro SP3

Has anyone else come up with this problem?
Is there a known fix that will help remove the problem?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Regards

I'd suggest that both of you run the EASE Cleaning Wizard available here:

Please report back.

Thanks Jim!
Unfortunately, no success here either!
I have used the default settings of the EASE Cleaning Wizard - top three check-boxes.

I have ended up with the same error message. Would it help it I sent the contents of the error message - this is the data the computer wants to send to Microsoft?

Regards

Hi Tim,

Please send me a status report.

Here's how to create an EASE status report:

1) Start EASE and select Help > Create Status Report, save the report to your desktop.
2) When it offers to "Mail information automatically to ADA now?" click no.
3) Please attach the file, Ease40Info.zip to an e-mail back to me at Renkus-Heinz, don't try to post to the forum.

Thanks. This will help me sort out your problem.

Wow, it looks quite stable now. Over 10 pdf files and no crash Smile
I've used three default checkboxes and "Delete EASE OpenGL Settings".
Thank you Jim!!!
