| I sam condstantly coming up against the 1GB limit (which I wish I had known about before stumping up thousands of pounds for the software). It seems madness, in the age of 16GB RAM machines and dual quad core's, that this is a limit. Can anyone explain to me why there is a limit or a workaround for it. When is the next version of EASE comin out and will it address this? An idea of other forthcoming features would be useflul too. |

| The reason for the 1 GB limit is that it is a limitation of the 32 bit development platform used for EASE 4.x. With 32 bit applications you can only access about 2GB memory, including the OS itself. A 64 bit EASE or rather AURA version is in planning but it will still need some time. |

| Typically you can reduce the memory requirements by increasing the Patch Size, Using Area Settings to get high resolution where you need it most, or by mapping a very large project as subsections. Use Objects to make enabling and disabling these areas quickly.
Hope this helps,
