| Hi,
Is there some sort of material browser function that I'm not aware which allows one to cycle/sort through a list of all materials in the Database , showing material description, absorption and scattering coefficients on one screen for comparison?
The only way I know how to more easily compare materials is to first load them into the project specific database and then browse from the Edit Face window or by looking at specific materials in the Material Base module, but this is very time consuming.
Thanks |

| My first thought was to create a dummy project with all materials loaded into it. You would use this to pick out materials before you started building a room. Otherwise you would have to close the project you were currently working on to get at it.
Sometime ago, I printed out the default material list, I'm not in the office right now but I think these were in the rear of the manual, not the tutorial. It didn't have everything but it was often enough so that I could keep working.

| Thanks Lindsay! That is a good suggestion to create a dummy project with all our materials loaded as a workaround. Cheers |

You can also open materials outside the main EASE module. UIt is possible to open several instances of the material dialogue so you can have them next to each other on the screen
From wherever you have installed your program
Programs/EASE/EASE 4.3 material base
Then file, open.
Repeat for as many materials as you want. |
