| I imported an AutoCAD generated dxf drawing into EASE, which I have done before without many problems, and put in all the necessary faces. When I try to save the file (i.e. check for holes) it says, "same vertices inserted," and shows the face F1 to be the problem. I decided to redraw face F1, and got the same error, but with a different face, again labeled F1. I continued doing this for a while, but wonder how long this can go on. Each time the face F1 is the problem, but it is always a different face. If someone could help me with this I'd appreciate it. |

| Hi Dylan,
Each time you redraw the face, EASE renumbers it to the highest face number, that's why the problem face keeps coming up as F1.
Before you continue, try using the Close Holes button in the Check Holes dialog box. If you continue to have the problem, don't redraw the faces, follow the procedure below:
1) Hit F5 to check data.
2) When you get the "Same vertices ... " error, the problem face will be selected.
3) Hit F4 to open the properties dialog for that face. In the list of vertices for the face, you'll see one of the vertices listed twice. Select one of the instances of this vertex and click on the Delete button. The traffic light should then turn green, indicated the face is now okay.
4) Repeat the above steps until you've corrected all of the problem faces. |

| Note that you can also use the Faces table to see which faces have problems as the traffic signal will be red there also.
